چکیده

This survey is an introduction to well-posed linear time-invartiant (LTI) systems for non-specialists. We recall the more general concept of a system node, classical and generalized solutions of system equations, criteria for well-posedness, the subclass of regular linear systems, some of the available linear feedback theory. Motivated by physical examples, we recall the concepts of impedance passive and scattering passive systems, conservative systems and systems with a special structure that belong to these classes. We illustrate this theory by examples of systems governed by heat and wave equations. We develop local and global well-posedness results for LTI systems with nonlinear (in particular, bilinear) feedback, by extracting the abstract idea behind various proofs in the literature. We apply these abstract results to derive well-posedness results for the Burgers and Navier-Stokes equations.

AIOSC: Analytical Integer Word-length Optimization based on System Characteristics for Recursive Fixed-point LTI Systems

The integer word-length optimization known as range analysis (RA) of the fixed-point designs is a challenging problem in high level synthesis and optimization of linear-time-invariant (LTI) systems. The analysis has significant effects on the resource usage, accuracy and efficiency of the final implementation, as well as the optimization time. Conventional methods in recursive LTI systems suffe...

The Exact Solution of Min-Time Optimal Control Problem in Constrained LTI Systems: A State Transition Matrix Approach

In this paper, the min-time optimal control problem is mainly investigated in the linear time invariant (LTI) continuous-time control system with a constrained input. A high order dynamical LTI system is firstly considered for this purpose. Then the Pontryagin principle and some necessary optimality conditions have been simultaneously used to solve the optimal control problem. These optimality ...

Standard LTI Feedback Optimization Setup

There are three basic concepts behind the standard feedback optimization setup: the notion of a multi-input, multi-output (MIMO) linear time-invariant (LTI) finite order system, the notion of an internally stable feedback interconnection of two MIMO LTI systems, and the notion of a system norm. In addition, there is a concept of well-posedness of the resulting optimization problem, which has to...

Linear fractional shift invariant (LFSI) systems

is obtained as another special case' In this paper, we formulate continuous time linear fractional shift invariant (LFSI) systems that generalize the well-known linear time invariant (LTI) systems by means of an angle parameter 4. LTI systems are obtained as a special case of LFSl systems for 4 = 0. LFSl systems belong to the large class of time-varying systems. Whereas LTI systems commute with...
